In the Netherlands, some people have serious complaints or limitations during their recovery after COVID-19 (the new coronavirus). In that case, the General Practitioner or medical specialist can determine whether someone is eligible for first-line paramedical recovery care. This recovery care can consist of physiotherapy, exercise therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics and speech therapy. The recovery care will be reimbursed under certain conditions from the basic package until 1 August 2022. An important condition is the willingness of patients to participate in research into the effect of recovery care.
